The Dreamwave curler by Wyler Hair is the latest innovation to hit the hair styling market and it’s already causing waves – both within the industry and for our hair! If you’ve ever wished you could curl your hair anytime & anywhere then this is the hair curler for you. In this article I’m going to review this new curling sensation and reveal why it’s such a game-changer.

I tried out the Dreamwave for the first time on the weekend and I have to admit I was shocked in the best kind of way. You see, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this curler and even considered it was something of a gimmick – a hair appliance I’d try once and then pack away somewhere out of sight & out of mind. I was wrong and I’m glad…because the Dreamwave is a literal dream come true for anyone like me who adores curling their hair.

Why is the Dreamwave so…dreamy?

Wylera Hair’s Dreamwave is a total new innovation – it’s a hair curler which is completely cordless. This means its portable – which allows you to curl your hair on the go. The USB charger allows you to charge the Dreamwave’s battery from a multitude of devices. When you have a cordless hair curler, you won’t have to worry about carrying a hair straightener or hair tongs, and then finding a power outlet to plug these into because the Dreamwave can literally be taken anywhere!

Feel like styling your hair in the car? You’re good. Have an after-work event and need a style touch up? No problems… Need to use it whilst travelling? The USB charger allows you to use this device all over the world without worrying about power adaptors. The Dreamwave is literally the answer to perfectly styled hair anytime, anywhere in the world!

So…how does it actually work?

Once you press the “start”’ button this ceramic surface hair curler utilizes the power of suction to weave your hair around the curling barrel. Two beeps will sound and then the timer will beep on each second, followed by two beeps to let you know the curl is ready. All you do is lower the Dreamwave and voila – perfect curls! Wylera Hair’s guarantee is that the Dreamwave will never allow your hair to become caught within the curler because this styling tool doesn’t actually grip your hair. And I can attest to that myself after using it – I was quite nervous that my hair would become caught within the Dreamwave, but it was so seamless and fuss free to use.

Ok, so what are the features?

There are four different setting on the Dreamwave hair curler - temperature type, temperature setting, timing and curl direction.

There are four different settings on the Dreamwave curler which allows you to customize how you’d like to style your hair.

Temperature type: degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit – means you can select the setting you’re most comfortable with using.

Temperature settings: a range of 150 to 200 degrees Celsius – use a lower temperature setting to protect your hair if you have dry or damaged hair.

Time: set the curler time between a range of 8 to 18 seconds, depending upon how loose or tight you prefer your waves/curls to be. For waves, use a lower time setting and for ringlets use the highest setting.

Curl direction: you have the choice to set the Dreamwave between a left or right curl direction. This is really handy for ensuring you curl your hair away from the front of your face. Use the left setting for the right side of your face and the right setting for your left side.

What else sets the Dreamwave apart from other curlers?

In two new shades of black onyx and rose gold, it is such a stylish hair tool to use! I was gifted the Gatsby Rose colourway which is stunning and features grey buttons. Super compact, it easily fits in the palm of your hand – and your handbag! The black Wylera Hair protective bag ensures it’s safe no matter where you store or carry it. It’s also quite intuitive to use – I found after a few mins I became quite used to this hair curler and I honestly feel like it’s actually easier to use compared to hair tongs.

Thanks for the feedback Marcel! Yes, 200 is too hot for my hair, I wouldn’t go above 180 degrees celcius on this personally…it’s definitely an incredible innovation 😊

Thank you; I only knew the hair tongs. Yes, it`s an interesting innovation. And a helpful (and beautiful & informative) article about it.
