Four Frogs Crêperie is undoubtedly one of my most favourite places for dessert because it feels like an authentic slice of France albeit on the other side of the world! Founded by Florian Guillemard, a Frenchman born in the Bretagne region famous for their crepes, Four Frogs have multiple restaurants in Sydney serving up delicious savoury & sweet treats for the harbour city. If you adore French food & wine as much as I do then read on as we take a closer look at one of my most loved places to eat and what I recommend you order!

Authentic crêpes the Four Frogs way
Having travelled to France multiple times I can safely say no one does a crêpe just like the French do! Being quite the Francophile, I always miss the food & wine whenever I have to come back home from holidays however Four Frogs have saved the day for me back home in Oz…their crêpes are as authentic and delicious as any you would find in France, less the costs of flying halfway across the world!

Out of all the toppings on offer, my top favourite would have to be the Nutella, banana & strawberry topped option. Available in single or double sized servings, the single is a decent sized amount but if you are feeling extra hungry then go ahead and order yourself the double! There’s plenty of toppings on offer so if Nutella isn’t appealing you could always go for something simple like butter, sugar & lemon, Belgian chocolate or organic maple syrup.

Pavlova & Crêpe = Crêpelova?!
Like any good restaurant, Four Frogs offer specials so keep an eye out for the daily special on the menu board in each location. Yesterday I had the absolute delight to branch out & try a different option – the Pavlova crêpe special! I wasn’t sure what it would be like as I’d never thought of combining the traditional Australian dessert alongside a French one…

However all it took was one bite to calm my worries – this Aussie-French dessert fusion was incredibly delicious and is now a strong contender to overtake the Nutella/Banana/Strawberry crêpe as my most favourite! With passionfruit sauce & seeds, cream, meringue and strawberries, it’s an excellent option for those who have a sweet tooth, without the addition of Belgian chocolate or Nutella.

Fancy something savoury?
Four Frogs not only are loved for their crêpes – their galettes are pretty mouth-watering & popular with customers as well. A great option for breakfast, lunch or dinner, galettes are the savoury crepe version and there is an abundance of toppings to choose from. My personal favourite is the galette with ham & swiss cheese; with other options such as chicken, prosciutto, duck, pork or smoked salmon the hardest part will be deciding upon which galette to devour!

Plenty of drinks to go around
Coffee & wine pair perfectly with any of the crêpes or galettes here so naturally there’s an extensive range of drinks to choose from. As Four frogs is an authentic French dining establishment it goes without saying that they also offer a range of traditional , beers & ciders from France as well as Australia. Their iced coffees and milkshakes are also ideal options on a warm day or with dessert.

Something for everyone!
With Four Frogs having vegetarian options, plus natural buckwheat flour that’s gluten free for their crêpes and galettes, this means no one gets to miss out on trying out the menu! There’s a separate breakfast menu as well as including options like the iconic Aussie spread – Vegemite – as well as a specially designed selection for children plus the option to make larger group bookings. In short, their restaurants are serving up a variety of delectable options for people of all ages and dietary requirements, at any time of the day!

With locations in Circular Quay, Mosman, Randwick & Lane Cove, I’d wholeheartedly recommend you visit one of their restaurants if you’re in Sydney. My personal favourite is Circular Quay, which has indoor & outdoor seating and is perfectly located just minutes away from attractions like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. It’s pretty popular with tourists & locals, and considering the consistent quality of their food, wide menu and friendly service, it’s not hard to understand why. So make sure you pop in and say “Bonjour” and that I sent you!

Hello Dear Lauren, it looks all very yummy. We also love French food and also outside of France. So this is a great advice to try this restaurant, if we should be near one day. The sweet and the not do sweet meals. Thank you and best wishes. ❤️🍀😘
