The Unnamed Skincare review & giveaway

New year = new you! With the twenties fast approaching in a few days, there’s no doubt that new year’s resolutions may be forefront in our minds. Whether it’s upping your fitness levels, revamping your diet/eating habits or even ticking a few items off a bucket list; starting 2020 is sure to inspire some new goals! Personally I can share that an important focus in 2020 will be on skincare. A large part of that focus includes discovering new skincare brands, using products & undergoing treatments designed to not only protect and nourish my skin as well as utilizing my skincare routine as a form of relaxation.

The Unnamed Skincare – a range of masks for your skin

Enter The Unnamed Skincare. This Australian skincare brand has come onto my radar recently thanks to their range of sheet masks which include brightening, firming and hydrating options. Based in Melbourne and operating for over a year, The Unnamed Skincare take pride in their products, which is evident from their tagline – “skincare that says what it does and does what is says”. A focus on simplicity in purpose and design, aiming to provide instant results whilst also building up long-term change via anti-aging ingredients.

I’ve always loved using face masks ever since I was a teenager but honestly I have dropped that important part of my skincare routine over the last few years. However a few months ago (after my first Fraxel laser treatment) I was introduced to sheet-masking and have to confess I’m now addicted to this step in my weekly Sunday night skin pamper sesh! This week I tried out the Unnamed Skincare’s Hydrating mask (after a day getting a bit too much sun at the beach) and I’m sold on it!

One quick look at the list of ingredients and you can tell these sheet masks are packed full of all the wonderful things our skin needs to level up and live it’s best life! Let’s take a look two of their sheet masks quickly because I believe the ingredients truly do speak for themselves:

Ingredients to level up your skin

Ceramides – the quiet achievers of skincare, Ceramides act as all-rounders in the anti-aging process by helping skin to retain it’s moisture balance & protective barrier. Additionally after continued use of Ceramides, the skin increases it’s levels of dewiness and plumpness, all which contribute to a much more youthful glow!

Hyaluronic acid – one of the staples in my current skincare regimen, purely because it is so hydrating, due to it’s ability to hold over 1,000 times it’s weight in water. It is an intense burst of hydration for your skin with the bonus being that Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in our bodies.

Niacinamide – aka Vitamin B3, this is widely renowned as one of the most important ingredients for skin. Niacinamide acts to improve the skin’s barrier function especially against harmful pollution, whilst also acting as an anti-inflammatory product which works great against acne prone & aging skin.

Skincare masks are a vital component of a skincare routine – not only because they infuse your skin with a concentrated dose of ingredients but also because of the downtime a masking routine encourages. Incorporating this step I means I actually take the time to sit down and relax – whether that’s for a quick 5 mins or a leisurely 30 mins. Putting aside some time to pamper yourself even if it’s only once a week is a great way to schedule in some “me” time and I know I always feel so relaxed after including this extension in my skincare routine.
